Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests

A 48-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested on Feb. 23 at 6:04 p.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operation, operating with no insurance, failure to yield a right of way and disobey a stop sign on Forest Avenue.
On Feb. 24 at 3:20 a.m., a 32-year-old East Rockaway man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle, lane violation and failure to signal on Merrick Road.
A 29-year-old Copiague man was arrested on Feb. 24 at 8:12 a.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operation, no inspection, operating with no insurance and suspended registration on Peninsula Boulevard.

At 4:09 p.m. on Feb. 27, a 56-year-old man from Eatons Neck, N.Y., was arrested and charged with menacing on Whitehall Street.
Criminal mischief

A custodian at West End Elementary School reported that between 4 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 6:45 a.m. on Feb. 28, an unknown suspect spray-painted graffiti on the handball court’s cement wall. Damage is estimated at $300.
Grand larceny

A complainant from Malverne reported on Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. that she lost her wallet at Craft Kitchen and Tap House in Lynbrook. The wallet included her driver’s license, $150 in cash and a Chase Bank debit card. After checking her account, she discovered that an unknown suspect made several fraudulent charges totaling $59.
