Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

A 19-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested on June 4 at 7:30 p.m. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident that occurred on May 9 on Merrick Road.

On June 5 at 9:45 a.m., a 55-year-old man from Springfield Gardens, Queens, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to signal on Merrick Road.

At 1 p.m. on June 6, a 21-year-old Lynbrook man was charged with criminal obstruction of airway on Freer Street.

A 49-year-old Lynbrook resident was arrested on June 6 at 8:20 p.m. and charged with criminal contempt on Lakeview Avenue.

A 32-year-old Cedarhurst woman was arrested on June 6 at 8:30 p.m. and charged with petit larceny from an incident that occurred on Sept. 23 on Park Place.

On June 11 at 2:51 p.m., a 30-year-old Ridge man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, suspended registration and failure to cover loose cargo on Merrick Road.

Petit larceny

The manager of Marlin Building Contractors Inc., 368 Ocean Ave., reported that between June 5 and 6, an unknown suspect fraudulently cashed two altered checks against the company’s Bank of America checking account. Total loss was $7,152.54.
