Lynbrook firefighters cut injured woman out of car after collision

The driver of an SUV had to be cut out of her car by Lynbrook firefighters on Aug. 4 after she was involved in a crash with another vehicle at Peninsula Boulevard and Vincent Avenue. After removing the driver’s door, the firefighters moved the injured driver to a stretcher and transported her to the hospital in an ambulance. The driver of the second vehicle was also injured and taken to the hospital by Northwell Health paramedics. Both were assisted by Lynbrook police officers.
