Local residents gathered at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 455 building, on Meacham Avenue in Elmont, on Feb. 20 to raise a new American flag in front of the building. The flag is the first to be flown in front the building in the past several months, and was donated by the American Legion Post 1033 in Elmont. more
