Light Drizzle Elmont Board approves tax break for veterans

In its continued tradition of honoring United States veterans, the Elmont Union Free School District’s Board of Education recently approved resolutions to provide tax relief to veterans residing in their local community.
Members of board unanimously authorized the exemption of school taxes for veterans of defined periods of war, veterans who received expeditionary medals and certain members of their families and certain civilians. Exemptions of school taxes for eligible Gold Star Parents were also approved.
