Recognizing student contributions and success is important at Elmont Memorial High School. Principal John Capozzi invited all of the October Students of the Month to his office to recognize their positive impact on the school and to give them their Student of the Month Award Certificate as well as a gift voucher for a free dessert at Applebees, a fresh baked cookie at Panera Bread and a $5.00 gift certificate for the Elmont Memorial High School Store. Students are nominated by their academic content area teachers and Interdisciplinary Junior High Teams for aspects in academic achievement, showing character, respect, responsibility, caring and citizenship.
