Franklin Square gas station robbed

Nassau Police and the Fifth Precinct are investigating a robbery that took place Wednesday morning in Franklin Square at 4:45 a.m.

According to detectives, a 58-year-old man working at the gas station at 355 Franklin Avenue was approached by an unknown man and woman who demanded cash. The man displayed a large knife. The Sunoco employee was able to lock himself inside the gas booth and call police. The man and woman suspects ran north on Franklin Avenue without any proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
