Gas station robbed

The Major Case Bureau is investigating a robbery that occurred in Elmont on Monday, Sept. 7, at 8:45 p.m.

According to detectives, a man armed with a black handgun, entered the “76” Gas Station located at 237-12 Linden Blvd., approached the attendant and demanded money. The victim complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The subject fled the scene on foot eastbound toward 238th Street. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery.

No injuries were reported.

The subject is described as a male black in his 20’s, 5’10” tall, thin build, wearing a gray bucket hat, red T-shirt, beige cargo shorts and black and white sandals. No further description is available.
