Gas station robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 11:32 p.m. in Franklin Square.

According to detectives, a 52 year old male employee working at the Star Gas Station located at 740 Hempstead Turnpike was approached by an unknown black male subject that displayed a black hand gun and demanded cash. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot west on Hempstead Turnpike. There were no injuries reported. The male subject is described as being black skinned, 20-30 years of age, orange t-shirt, dark jeans and baseball cap.
