House fire on Irving in North Valley Stream within the Elmont Fire District.

At approximately 5:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept 28, Nassau Firecom alerted the Elmont Fire Department for a reported house fire on Irving Street in the North Valley Stream section of the Elmont Fire District.

Third Assistant Chief Joseph Luckman was first on the scene and transmitted a "working fire" call. All companies of the department were used. The fire was under control at 6:06 p.m. There were no injuries and the fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office, as is standard procedure.
