Learning about Reptiles

Debbie Ciavarella was not happy, but still tried on the big snake.

First graders got to hold “Baby,” the 55lbs. Burmese python. Top row, far left, is Erik from Erik’s Reptile Adventure and substitute teacher Ms. Palopoli.

The Polk Street School cultural arts program presented Erik’s Reptile Edventures for Kindergarten and 1st grade students. Erik ran four, one-hour shows on Feb. 1. Edventures is short for Educational Adventures. The Cultural arts program aims to provide the children with fun and educational opportunities.
