Mostly Cloudy Muscarella returns to familiar post

Unopposed Republican incumbent Legislator Vincent Muscarella, 59, was returned to his District 8 post by voters on Tuesday. The West Hempstead resident, who has represented the district since 1996, said that he wants to help create jobs in Nassau County, keep taxes low and help to move the county forward.
“We ran as a team and we had a good message,” Muscarella said after his victory was formally announced. “Taxes need to be controlled.”
