Town sanitation announcement on storm waste
joc

As Hempstead Town cleans up following the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, the Town of Hempstead's Department of Sanitation has a special announcement for residents seeking to dispose of storm-related waste:

Residents are asked to not to bring their debris, yard waste and tree limbs to the Merrick sanitation facility. Instead, residents are asked to bundle their debris, yard waste and tree limbs and place on their curbside for pick up.

Because of the high volume of storm-related waste, residents are asked to be patient as sanitation crews work their way through the township.

Town residents served by special sanitary districts and villages are advised to contact their providers for more information.
