An Evening of Beautiful Music at St. Agnes

The South Shore Symphony, under the direction of Scott Jackson Wiley, will be joined by guest vocal soloists and the voices of St. Agnes Cathedral in a spectacular performance of Beethoven’s 9th (The Choral) on June 4 at 7:30 p.m. In addition, soloist Michael Bower will be performing Handel Ogran Concerto F Major, Opus 4, No. 4. The event will start at 7:30 p.m. and there is a $15 suggested donation at the door.

Yard sale

The Girl Scouts Of The Rockville Centre Association will be holding a yard sale at 170 Morris Ave., near Lakeview Avenue, on June 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some of the items being sold are household goods, furniture, kitchen wares, hand crafts, bicycles, toys, and tools. All proceeds will benefit the Girl Scouts.

The Paul Joseph Trio

Take the A Train! On June 3, visit the Rockville Centre Public Library for an afternoon inspired by the music of Duke Ellington and the spirit of jazz with the talented Paul Joseph Trio. The event starts at 2 p.m.

Ripe for the pickin’

It’s strawberry festival time again. The 2017 version of the Nassau County Strawberry Festival, sponsored by the Bellmore Kiwanis and Lions clubs, features strawberry delights, and carnival rides and attractions, including live entertainment, It’s on the grounds of Bellmore BOCES School in North Bellmore. Shut Up and Sit Down’ with The Sopranos

The gang from the beloved HBO hit series reunites for a “talk back” event, featuring a Q&A session, Wednesday, June 7, at 7 p.m., at the Madison Theatre, on the Molloy College campus, in Rockville Centre. Lorriane Bracco, Tony Sirico, Steve Schirripa, Johnny Ventimiglia, Vincent Curatola, and Dominic Chianese are on hand, along with special guests, for this fascinating evening, benefiting the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
