Three men beat, rob man in Elmont

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Elmont early Saturday morning.

According to detectives, a 24 year-old man was walking on Hempstead Turnpike near Wellington Road at 2:30 a.m.

Three male suspects approached him from behind. They pushed the man to the ground and began hitting and kicking him around the body. The suspects then took the victims’ wallet containing an undetermined amount of money and two debit cards. They fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male with a goatee, wearing a black hat. The two other suspects were not described.
