7-Eleven in Hewlett robbed at gunpoint
After a store clerk opened the cash register, a man who appeared to be just shopping pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and then grabbed the register drawer and dumped the money and cigarettes into a cardboard box, then removed another register drawer and fled the 7-Eleven at the intersection of Mill Road and Peninsula Boulevard in Hewlett after 8 a.m. on Sept. 30, police said. more
