Inwood golf course make’s top 50 list
Fifty existing golf courses have hosted the U.S. Open, including Shinnecock Hills that is hosting its fifth such tournament June 14 to 17. The Southampton course, is considered a classic and is rated No 1. among GolfWeek’s Best Top 100 classic or modern tracks. Ten criteria rated the course, including memorability of specific holes and the “Walk in the Park” test. more

Inwood Country Club opened up ten of its tennis courts to members of the Inwood community as 300 children, parents and volunteers attended the first ever Kids’ Tennis Festival, hosted by The Inwood Charities Fund Inc. along with the USTA Eastern/Long Island Region. Volunteers and guests included the Baldwin High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team, Lynbrook High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team, and tennis professionals from the Inwood Country Club. more
