The National Weather Service confirmed that four tornaodes touched down on Long Island during the storm on Nov. 13. Two were classified as EF-O tornadoes. One in Woodmere which then moved towards Uniondale and Levittown.

Due to technical difficulties, lightening postponing one game and another game not played to due an opposing coach being hospitalized, the Lawrence boys’ soccer team season has gotten off to a stuttering start as after playing three non-league contests and going 2-1, the Golden Tornadoes finally began playing league games last weekend.

The parade route was shorter that past homecomings, but the Lawrence High School Golden Tornadoes kept up their end of the bargain as they pasted Floral Park 50-7 and remain undefeated in Conference III at 7-0 last Saturday.
