A Manhattan woman employed at Brach’s Supermarket in Lawrence was arrested for calling in a false bomb threat to the store on Lawrence Lane on Oct. 29, police said.
Kristal Huff-Rivers, 20, of South Street, called once and said three times on that Wednesday, “There’s a bomb in the building, evacuate,” according to police. While in the supermarket’s break room Huff-Rivers admitted to another employee that she made the phone call, police said.
Arrested at 8:20 p.m. the same day, Huff-Rivers was charged with falsely reporting an incident-firs degree.
