Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D-Elmont) partnered with Five Towns Community Chest to sponsor the inaugural Inwood Day/Back to School Day celebration and barbecue at Inwood Park on Aug. 23. The three-hour event that began at noon, included food, music by the Lawrence High School jazz quartet and a DJ, basketball games and soccer with the Inwood Soccer Club.
