Five Towns communities without power

A utility line caught fire on Oakland Avenue in Cedarhurst, which knocked out power to 850 homes in the area.

The Long Island Power Authority reported about power outages in the Five Towns communities of Woodmere, Cedarhurst, Woodbsburgh and Hewlett Neck as 4:30 p.m. on June 24.

According to Cedarhurst Trustee Ari Brown 850 homes in Cedarhurst were without power due to a utility line catching fire on Oakland Avenue earlier on Monday.
