Police looking for man who attempted to get a 5-year-old girl into his car

The Fourth Precinct is looking for a man driving in a black Infiniti who allegedly tried to lure a 5-year-old girl into his car on July 23, on Marlborough Road in Cedarhurst.

Police officers from the 4th Precinct have increased their frequency of patrols in the village as they attempt to find the man.

Fourth Precinct officers strongly encourages all residents to report any suspicious activity or information that would help identify this suspect by calling 911.

Last month, Far Rockawat resident Yan Kossa, 39, allegedly lured a 7-year-old girl out of the Chabad of the Five Towns in Cedarhurst into his car and then told the child’s father what he had done.

Kossa was arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment-second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
