Nearly 250 people took part in the Jean Fischman Chabad Center’s Friendship Circle of the Five Towns second annual Bike4Friendship event on Oct. 27 that raised more than $25,700 for the Friendship Circle.

This year, the bike ride was a 10K and along with a family was completed by volunteers and supporters. Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization established in 2004 that assists families of children with special needs.

Rabbi Schneur Wolowik, the Chabad’s executive director, thanked the volunteers and sponsors. Volunteer Melissa Spector noted how the Friendship Circle has helped her and what it means to give back to the community.

A finish line party included an inflatable obstacle course, photo booth, music and food. Donations and sponsorships of bikers remain open. Visit www.Bike4friends.com and for more information about Friendship Circle go to www.FC5towns.com.
