Middle school orientation included a question and answer session. Assistant Principal Rina Beach responded to a Number Five School student’s query.

Number Five students Ani Chittabathini, John Escalante and Jibraiel Rehman were all impressed with the size of the middle school that was originally the district high school. “It’s a big school, I’m going to make a lot of friends, there is a lot of people,” Escalante said. “I think it’s a nice school,” said Chittabathini, adding that he thought that having a no bullying policy is a good thing. “It’s a really big school with a lot of grades,” Rehman said. “I’ll be thinking about [coming here] all summer.”

Previously, Henderson and Willis Perry, the middle school’s principal, hosted a meeting with parents. The fourth and final orientation session is scheduled to take place in August, where the students, accompanied by their parents and with their class schedules in hand, will visit the school once more before the new school year begins in September.
