Enjoying LWA's Homecoming activities
Monica Rzewski/Herald
LWA students enjoyed the various activities at the fair, including games, food and class booths.

In the same year as its centennial anniversary, Lawrence Woodmere Academy also celebrated its Homecoming on Oct. 20, which was full of activities, attractions and homemade food.

From noon to 3 p.m., there were carnival games, class booths, rides, and girls’ and boys’ varsity soccer games. At 4 p.m., Shelley Silbering was inducted in the school’s Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Hessel Hall that included words from 10 people, including Silbering and Headmaster Alan Bernstein.

For two hours between 5 and 7 p.m., Reunion classes met in the library for appetizers and drinks, where class photos and memorabilia were on display.
