Five Towners charged with selling counterfeit designer merchandise and possessing drugs

Following a two-month investigation by Nassau County police in partnership with the New York office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and the county's District Attorney's office, four people, including two Five Towns residents, were arrested on Nov. 28 for allegedly selling counterfeit designer items such as handbags, scarves, watches and jewelry valued at more than $200,000, police said. One Five Towner was arrested for marijuana possession.

Fern Ciraolo, 53, of Harbor Road, Hewlett Harbor, was observed to have displayed fake designer merchandiser for sale at her home on Oct. 28 and Nov.9, according to police.

Subsequently, her son, Justin Ciraolo, 21, who lives at the same address, was found to be in possession of numerous narcotics. Both were arrested at the scene without incident.

Alyssa Reichel, 49, of Cliffside Avenue, North Woodmere, was seen selling counterfeit designer items at Ego Trip inside the Cheveux Day Spa and Salon at 964 Broadway, Woodmere on Oct. 13 and Nov. 11, police said. Reichel was arrested at her home without incident.

Also arrested were Jack Huzarsky, 74, of Lincrest Street, Syosset, and Elsa Bonilla, 31, of Brook Street, Westbury.

Fern Ciraolo was charged with two counts of second-degree counterfeiting and was issued a desk appearance ticket. Her next court date is Dec. 21.

Justin Ciraolo was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He will be arraigned on Nov. 29 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Reichel was charged with two counts of second-degree counterfeiting and was also given a desk appearance ticket. Her next court date is also Dec. 21.

Huzarsky was charged with second-degree counterfeiting and was issued a desk appearance ticket. His next court date is Jan. 6.

Bonilla was charged with four counts of second-degree counterfeiting. She was given a desk appearance ticket. Her next court date is Dec. 20.

The four issued desk appearance tickets will appear at First District Court in Hempstead.
