Arrests

LAWRENCE- Francisca Almonte, 44, of Malverne, was arrested for shoplifting from a warehouse store on Rockaway Turnpike at 11:45 a.m. on July 7, police said.

Grand larceny

NORTH WOODMERE- A woman shopping at a department store on Rockaway Turnpike left her pocketbook unattended and reported it missing at 4:30 p.m. on July 3, authorities said.

Larceny from auto

WOODMERE- An unspecified amount of money was stolen from a vehicle parked on East Broadway between 10 p.m. on July 1 and 7:30 a.m. on July 2, officials said.

WOODMERE- A pair of sunglasses and an unspecified amount of money was taken from a vehicle parked on Elm Street between 12:01 and 8 a.m. on July 2, according to police.

WOODMERE- Between 12:01 and 8 a.m. on July 3, a portable radio was removed from a vehicle parked on Briar Place, police said.

CEDARHURST- A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked on Buckingham Road at 4:30 a.m. on July 4, authorities said.

MEADOWMERE- A wallet was stolen from a unlocked vehicle parked on Rockaway Turnpike between 7 and 8:30 p.m. on July 3, officials said.

LAWRENCE- An iPad and eyeglass case were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the lot of a mall on Rockaway Turnpike at 3:30 p.m. on July 5, according to police.

Petit larceny

WOODMERE- A vehicle owner reported that someone was in their vehicle on Carman Avenue between 10 p.m. on July 1 and 7:30 a.m. on July 2, police said. There was no damage or property taken.

Criminal mischief

INWOOD- Two windows and a door were damaged at a business on Bayview Avenue between 1 and 3 a.m. on July 5, authorities said.

CEDARHURST- A vehicle was scratched on Chestnut Street between 7:30 p.m. on July 2 and 9 a.m. on July 3, officials said.

LAWRENCE- The owner of a vehicle parked on Mulry Lane reported that someone tried to remove the radio between 2 and 10 a.m. on July 4, police said.

Suspicious incident

HEWLETT BAY PARK- Nothing was taken or damaged, but the owner of a vehicle parked on Cedar Avenue reported someone was in the vehicle between 10:30 p.m. on July 5 and 6:30 p.m. on July 6, according to police.
