Arrests

HEWLETT-On Oct. 7 at 6:37 p.m. near Carman Avenue and Main Street in East Rockaway, 18-year-old Steven Arias of Hewlett was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, authorities said.

NORTH HILLS-At 1:25 a.m. on Oct. 4 on the LIE in North Hills, Mario G. Chavez, 43, of Inwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, officials said.

Grand larceny-auto

WOODMERE-On Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. on Forest Avenue, a yellow 1977 Chevrolet Corvette was stolen, according to police.

HEWLETT-Between 9 p.m. on Oct. 5 and 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 near Erick Avenue and Broadway, a gray 1997 Infiniti was stolen, police said.

Criminal mischief to auto

CEDARHURST-On Oct., between 3:46 and 6:35 p.m., a man’s car was dented while it was parked in a lot on Reilly Road, authorities said.
