Flipping pancakes and battling Parkinson’s disease

The Epstein family headed by Ross and Amy hosted the eighth annual Pancakes for Parkinson’s fundraiser at Congregation Sons of Israel in Woodmere on Nov. 20 that benefits the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Ross’s father, Stewart, battled Parkinson’s for 27 years. He died earlier this year at 76. To date, the events, with support from the Bergman and Schornstein families, have raised more than $450,000. Besides breakfast food, the event included EJ the DJ, magic by John Born and face painting by Faces by Erica, along with raffle prizes and sports memorabilia from Grandstand Sports.
