Over the past few years, Dr. Jonathan Michael’s chiropractic office has evolved into a full service wellness center, staffed by a team of specialists. Last April, Dr. Michael moved into a larger facility that now includes chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, trigger point injections, Yoga classes and YOGA-practice.

Personal experience led Dr. Michael (“Dr. Jon”) to become a chiropractor. He received his first chiropractic adjustment on the day he was born by his grandfather, Dr. Jack Baginsky. A difficult birth had left him with paralysis of his left arm. His grandfather reversed the condition.

Jonathan Michael grew up in Rockville Centre, is a South Side High School alumnus, and enjoys sharing his family’s healthcare concepts with the community. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Albany, and then went on to the University of Bridgeport for his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

Dr. Kristin Conforti, a board certified Physical Therapist, holds a Masters degree from Quinnipiac and a doctorate from Northeastern University. She treats a wide variety of patients such as athletes, geriatric and amputees. Her specialties include prevention, sports-related injuries, post-operative conditions, and traumatic brain injuries. Reducing pain and improving mobility and function is a main objective.

Peter Wu is the licensed acupuncturist. His studies in Chinese herbs have allowed him to prescribe herbs as needed for treatment. He has helped patients with allergies, pain management, weight issues, reproductive issues, stress and smoke cessation. Known for his “golden touch” and Tui Nu treatments, Wu’s understanding of Oriental medicine has enabled him to gain a profound insight of overall patient health.
