Inwood man arrested for child pornography

Levorn Mays Jr., 25, of Smith Street in Inwood was arrested at his home by the FBI Long Island Child Exploitation Task Force on Aug. 5 at 8 a.m. for allegedly uploading child pornography to his personal Gmail and Dropbox accounts.
Mays, a registered Level One sex offender, has been previously arrested for possession of child pornography in Nassau County. His most recent arrest on a similar charge was on March 11. He was out on bail, police said. The task force is comprised of Nassau County police detectives from the Crimes Against Property Squad, FBI agents and Suffolk County police detectives.
He was charged with distribution of child pornography, a federal charge, and arraigned at U.S. District Court in Central Islip on the same day.
