Sister Mary Albert of St. Joachim R.C. Church in Cedarhurst and Joseph Lentini, the most recent past grand knight for the Father John Farrell Council of the Knights of Columbus 5962, were the honorees at the group’s annual Columbus Day Dinner Dance held at the Coral House in Baldwin on Oct. 13.

Named the KOC’s Religious Person of the Year, Albert was honored for her 60 years of religious service and this event served as Lentini’s testimonial dinner for his year at the helm of the local KoC council that is associated with St. Joseph’s Church in Hewlett.

Proceeds from the dinner — $14,500 — will be donated to the various charities the Father Farrell Council supports.
