Man sought for nine robberies

Suspect armed with large kitchen knife

Nassau County police are asking the public to identify a man who is alleged to have robbed nine businesses between Feb. 9 and July 14 of this year at knifepoint, including the first one in North Woodmere and a half dozen in Valley Stream. The others were in Elmont and Franklin Square.
Police describe the man as black, 5-feet, 10-inches tall; who is wearing a black jacket and hooded sweatshirt, gloves and white-soled sneakers in the photographs. He is alleged to be armed with a large kitchen knife.
The robberies occurred at the Shell gasoline station at:
928 Rosedale Road in North Woodmere at 9:21 p.m. on Feb. 9
Evans Corner at 962 Rockaway Ave. in Valley Stream at 2:17 p.m. on Feb. 24
