A man's body was found floating in Reynolds Channel near the Atlantic Beach Bridge on Sept. 3. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

The body of an unidentified man was found floating in Reynolds Channel near the Atlantic Beach Bridge at 11:26 a.m. on Sept. 3, according to police.
Atlantic Beach Rescue Squad, Nassau County’s police Marine Bureau and aviation, the Town of Hempstead’s Bay Constables and New York City’s police Marine Bureau responded to the scene, police said.
The body was taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office as the investigation continues. What happened to the man has yet to be determined.
