A motorcyclist driving east on Seagirt Boulevard merged onto the north ramp of the Nassau Expressway and struck the curb and lost control of his 2004 Suzuki motorcycle at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 21 in Lawrence, according to police.
The man, 38, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway. He suffered multiple facial and skull fractures, police said, and was airlifted by Nassau County police to a local hospital for treatment. He was considered in critical condition, police said.
Police impounded the motorcycle for brake and safety checks. They said, “there is no apparent criminality,” and the investigation is continuing.
