More than 150 students and their parents attended the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway (HAFTR) open house on Nov. 15, where the high school class of 2020 and more than 70 families from other neighborhood schools learned more about educational opportunities in general and Judaic studies at the modern Orthodox yeshiva in Cedarhurst.
After introductions from the high school’s principals and viewing a video, parents sat in on model lessons, while students were divided into groups and took a virtual tour of the school and collected souvenirs along the way.
