Open Mic night at Hewlett High School included more than 40 performers ranging from poets to musicians, along with exhibits of student artwork.

More than 40 performers recited poetry, played music or displayed their artwork at the annual Open Mic night on March 21 hosted by Vintage, a student literary arts club, at Hewlett High School.
Several last-minute acts were added, a few of the performers included former Vintage members on break from their freshman year of college and approximately 60 people attended, according to Kelly Cheng, one of the event’s organizers.
