A Few Clouds and Breezy Queens woman steals more than $90K from Atlantic Beach business

Queens resident Joanne Estrada is accused of stealing more than $90,000 from an Atlantic Beach business, where she worked as a bookkeeper.

Joanne Estrada, 44, of Queens was arrested by the Crimes Against Property Squad on March 31 for allegedly stealing more than $90,000 as the bookkeeper for Redgrave Electrical Maintenance in Atlantic Beach.
Police said that Estrada deposited 23 company checks into an account in her name. She would then make fraudulent entries into the business ledger to hide the thefts.
Estrada was arrested at her home and charged with grand larceny-second degree, three counts of possession of a forged instrument-second degree and one count of falsifying-first degree.
