Donovan Berthoud/Herald
Free multiple root canals were performed on 15 patients by East Coast Endodontics in Hewlett. Dr. Evan Chugerman treated a patient.

Free multiple root canals were performed on 15 patients by East Coast Endodontics in Hewlett in conjunction with the Coalition of Concerned Medical Professionals at the seventh annual charity event on March 2.

Doctors Michael Feldman, Evan Chugerman and Patrick Ng-a-fook, and their staff treated the patients. In addition, Dr. Burt Kreisman, a dentist in the same building, and his staff, provided free dental restorative care after the root canals were performed.

The Coalition is an independent, all-volunteer, private membership organization of health care professionals, students and low income families who seek to eliminate all economic barriers. Year-round, free of charge preventative medical care benefits and non-emergency dental benefits are available through the Coalition.
