She was always on the go

Margo Wess, a 45-year Woodmere resident, died at North Shore University Hospital on Feb. 14. She was 83.

Wess was born in Queens and graduated from Forest Hills High School. After meeting Carl Wess on a singles’ weekend in the Catskills, the couple was married on July 22, 1956.

Wess was a homemaker and looked after the couple’s two daughters, Bonnie and Janet. “She was a person who loved doing things and going places,” Bonnie said. “She had lots of friends and would go out to lunch and play cards. She also loved her family and was devoted to my father.”

Services were held graveside on Feb. 17 at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Glendale.

She is survived by husband Carl, daughters Bonnie and Janet, son-in-law Steven Caley, grandchildren Allison and Michelle Caley and Jason and Courtney Tilchen, brother Henri Kahn and sister-in-law Val Kahn.
