Students compete, have fun at sports night
Susan Grieco/Herald
The sophomores and juniors played an intense game of volleyball.

Hewlett High School students battled between the classes at the school’s annual Sports Night event on March 1.

Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors competed in relay races, European handball, floor hockey, tug-of-war, volleyball, musical chairs, an academic bowl and dance routines.

The more than $900 raised from admission fees will benefit the Adam Barsel scholarship and the high school’s Student Council. Barsel was a Hewlett High School student who died in a car accident in 2000.
