Two Inwood men arrested for stolen vehicles

Police catch one after brief foot chase

Police arrested two Inwood residents on Oct. 29, after they were found in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
During the course of an investigation detectives from the Major Case Bureau located the unoccupied vehicle on Carvel Place in Inwood. Police then saw Rayshawn Littlepage, 24, of Grand Central Place, and Justin Artis, 20, of Jefferson Street, unlock the vehicle using a key fob and get in at 5:35 p.m. that Wednesday.
Blocking the vehicle from moving, the police arrested Littlepage, but Artis took off on foot and following a brief chase was also arrested, police said. Artis had a key fob for another vehicle that was found on Monroe Street, also in Inwood.
Both men are charged with grand larceny-third degree, Artis was charged with criminal possession of stolen property-third degree, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana.
