Woodmere man arrested for theft in North Woodmere

Police arrested Jonathan Hoffman, 45, of Woodmere Boulevard in Woodmere on Sunday, more than six months after he allegedly robbed a house on June Court in North Woodmere, according to police.
On March 6, Hoffman allegedly entered the home through an open door and took an unspecified amount of money, assorted jewelry, a cell phone, passport and checkbooks. He also wrote a check for $10,000 and deposited into his bank account, police said. Hoffman knows the person he allegedly stole from and was identified by witnesses, according to police.
He was charged with burglary-second degree, possession forged instrument- second degree and grand larceny-second degree.
