Woodmere woman robbed in Longacre Avenue home

After parking in the garage of her Longacre Avenue house in Woodmere, a woman, 74, was allegedly attacked by a man who put his hand over her face and demanded her jewelry at 2:14 p.m. on Sept. 3, police said.
She gave the man the jewelry and he fled on foot, according to police. No injuries were reported.

On Aug. 22, a similar robbery was reported, where a woman on Forest Avenue, also in Woodmere, entered her home through the garage and was accosted by a man who put her in a chokehold. He also demanded the woman’s jewelry, and he took her wallet before also fleeing on foot.
