Woodmere resident Jeremy Rosenberg founded the Hewlett Woodmere Civic Association to bring more vitality and civic participation to the communities.

Wysocki, who opened her business, Dance Express on Broadway in Woodmere, in her early 20s, believes Rosenberg is benefiting the community by taking a risk and starting an organization at such a young age. “I think it’s great that he’s young because as you get older you tend to get tunnel vision,” she said. “He knows what would make the community a better place and eventually the younger generation is what will be moving in. We have to make a change and adapt the neighborhood to what it’s turning into.”
