Hewlett High School seniors Anna Bromfeld and Brandon Lake with guidance from their adviser Susan Hanlon won the 13th annual Adelphi University Apprentice Challenge at the Garden City school on Nov. 15.

Roughly 250 students from 27 schools across Long Island took part in the competition that is judged by professionals from a broad spectrum of companies. The students worked with expert business faculty from Adelphi’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business and marketing professionals to learn essential and relevant marketing components, including the four Ps — Product, Price, Place and Promotion —to create a marketing plan.

Participants then tested their skills and worked in teams to develop a marketing plan based on a sample case assignment that was presented to the judges.
