The Atlantic Beach-based Richard M. Brodsky Foundation donated $3,000 in toys and clothing to the Marion & Aaron Gural JCC in Cedarhurst on Nov. 17.
Jodi and Richard Brodsky founded the Brodsky Foundation about 14 years ago spurred by enduring being diagnosed HIV-positive in 1997, and five years later undergoing treatment for brain cancer — unrelated to his HIV. The organization coordinates events that raise money and awareness for improved medical care, and the Brodskys take part in major marathons such as Boston and New York to further their mission.
