CALE honors three longtime members in Hewlett Harbor

The Seawane Country Club in Hewlett Harbor once again hosted the annual Center for Adult Life Enrichment gala luncheon, this year on May 15. Longtime members Stanley Brill, Claire Ganzfried and Don Newman were honored.

CALE, as it is now known, is in its 69th year of serving seniors in the Five Towns and several surrounding South Shore communities. The organization, ensconced in the carriage house on what is now the Hewlett High School campus, offers a broad spectrum of programs and activities “to enhance the dignity of older adults of diverse backgrounds,” according to the group’s mission statement, through programs that help to intellectually stimulate and develop their quality of life.
