Community Chest basketball gets competitive and charitable

Posted

Competitive hoops and charity were the two components that made up the 18th annual Five Towns Community Chest Youth Board Basketball Tournament at Lawrence High School last Sunday.
Three on three teams played in five age divisions: Middle school, 10-12-year olds; high school, 13-18-year old; open division, 19-34-year olds; 35-50-year olds and the over 50 division.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Adam Barsel Scholarship Fund and Woodmere-based Community Chest. Barsel was a Hewlett High School student who died in a car accident in 2000.
