Cub Scout Pack 20 held an open ice skating night for scouts, friends and local kids at Grant Park on Feb. 24.

Ice skating, sipping hot chocolate, working crafts and learning about the new family scouting program for boys and girls were the highlights of Cub Scout Pack 20’s 90-minute night of ice skating at Grant Park in Hewlett on Feb. 24. Scout officials described scouting at the Cub Scout level as “character development, leadership skills, community service, outdoor adventures, teamwork and friendships,” and fun for boys and girls in grades kindergarten to fifth.
